English translation: This is Osiamalil. When the leaves are growing they are not consumed, only when they have fallen. The root can also be consumed, if you cut the root and make it like tea, the tea will be red. The leaves are also put in tea, if they are crushed, but they must be fresh so they are not bought in a store. When mothers have stomach aches, they go to dig this root and it will relieve the pain.a Recording 2: Maasai translation: Ajii Saning’o napukunye Future Warriors Tanzania naata ilarin 23 ore ele omomi lai laata tenoolong’ naa ore endoki nagira aaliki  naa im’baa oo irkeek lee engop loo irmaasae, netii olnjani obo ojii osiyamalil ore osiyamalil neesishore irmaasae amu eeaasishore too imbukunot kumok aa ore enaiteru keesishore irmaasae aayerie shai aitauni aaturu indana ore pee itauni indana nepiki engolong’ aaitaar engolong’ ore ake pee itaari engolong’  ore ake pee etoi nidong’i ore ake pee idong’i  aaidong’ metupuyapuya pii ore pee epuyapui neeku inye eyerieki shai aaitaa enaa armajani lee shai neeku inye nija etui esiyamalili eesihore irmaasae ore engae  nitauni ake aabelu ingopit enyena neyerieki ake imotorik neesishore ake tengae mwaa aaitau ake nena oopit enyena ore pee itau nena opit enyena neyeri ore ake pee eyeri nihori enaa nai engiteng’ naiboo emudong’ enee engine nihori metooko ore eke pee eok nelo aasuj engohoke nee nitau ilo chafuu otelekua tiatwa engohoke enye  , Ashe

English translation: My name is saningo. I am twenty three years old. This is my guest. Today, I want to inform about the trees we Maasai use. This is a tree called Osiyamalil. If you remove the roots, you must then sun-dry them. When they dry, you should then crush them into a powder. Then you make it into a tea. When the cow is not flushing out the dirt in its stomach after birth, or the goat, you give it this tea and it washes out the dirt in the animal’s stomach. Thank you.
