English translation: We are here climbing the mountain known as ‘Mkulima wa Mzee Kobe ya Enemoyaso’ (Farmer of Enemoyaso’s Old Turtle). This mountain is where the young Maasai bring their cattle and slaughter them when they go off into the forest. They slaughter the cattle here and drink medicine. One of these medicines is called ‘orkokola’. Orkokola is a good medicine for wounds, since when it is ingested it spreads throughout the whole body. This medicine is difficult to find since it only grows high atop the mountain. But Maasai still venture to the top of the mountain to fetch this medicine orkokola, and mix it with soup made from a cooked animal head. It is a good medicine to drink animal head soup with. This medicine called orkokola helps the stomach, like if someone has drunk oily fats and has bowel movement, if he drinks this medicine it will flush out the oil.Â

English translation: This is engokola. Engokola is mixed with other medicines during the cooking process and drunk with soup, since it improves these medicine’s functions in the body. We mix this with many medicines we drink because we have many medicines that we drink and use.Â
