English translation: This is Engoiroi, as it is called in the Maasai language. If you find someone poisoned by a fungus, the pods of this plant can be removed with a knife and used. After removal, the pods are mixed with sheep fat and eaten, and this heals the afflicted person. The pods can also be removed and mixed with oil like sheep’s fat. This mixture can be given to a person who has measles, a headache, or someone who has been bitten by a mosquito and has severe malaria. You mix the pods with the oil and it helps them heal.
